Day 01: Arrive Paro-Thimphu

DESTINY BHUTAN’S staff will greet you upon arrival at Paro Airport (7,000ft), transfer to Thimphu, through the beautiful valleys of Paro to the capital of Bhutan. Check in the Hotel, evening scroll down town. O/N Hotel in Thimphu

Day 02: Thimphu Sightseeing

Memorial Chorten

Thimphu to the capital of Bhutan, where most of the modern facilities is still not reach, some say that Thimphu is only capital in the world without the computerised tariff lighting system.

Morning visit memorial Chorten built in the memory of Lt. His Majesty the King by Royal Queen Mother, visit Cahngkha Lhakhang, Motithang mini Zoo to see the National animal The Takin. Drive down to viewpoint from where you have magnificent view of Thimphu valley; visit National Library to see the large collection of traditional books, Folk Heritage museum where you can see the typical Bhutanese house and their way lifestyle and school of arts & craft (Painting School).

Afternoon if possible you can visit Tashichodzong, the parliament house of the country, handmade paper factory and some of the local Handicraft centre. Evening at leisure. O/N Same

Day 03: Thimphu-Punakha/Wangdi

Morning visit Institute of Traditional Medicine and Bhutanese hand made paper factory. Later transfer to Punakha through Dochula Pass from where one can see beautiful view of Eastern Himalayan Range on the clear sunny day.

At Punakha visit Dzong, which is the winter home of Je Khenpo (the chief abode) the head of central Monastic body and also this place is the old capital of the country. You can walk around the Punakha valley to see the farmhouse and the Bhutan architecture. Later in the evening drive to Wandgi. O/N Wangdi

Day 04: Wangdi-Paro

Simtokha Dzong

Morning do sightseeing in and around Wangdi town, visit dzong and transfer to Paro on the way back visit chimi Lhakhang the temple of fertility built Mad monk Lam Drukpa Kinley. Have Lunch at Thimphu transfer to Paro on the way visit Simtokha Dzong. O/N Paro

Day 05: Paro-Festival

National Museum

Whole day witness the Festival, afternoon if you wish visit National Museum. Evening scroll down town. O/N Paro

Day 06: Paro-Festival

Morning witness the festival, later transfer Taktsang monastery, have lunch and start to hike Taktsang, it will take around 1 ½ hrs walk from road end. On the way visit Kyichu Monastery. O/N Same.

Day 07: Departure

Paro Airport

Early morning at around 2.30 AM, transfer to Festival ground to witness the procession carrying the Throngdrol from the dzong and unfold on the festival ground. It will be fold back before the sun rises. Attend the Throngdrol ceremony and transfer to Airport straight way for your flight (if your flight is at 0900 hrs and later)
